Katie’s Notebook: Sept. 14, 2023

Greetings!

How is everyone doing? It seems like fall allergies are popping and back to school viruses are making the rounds. I’ve been drinking a lot of tea, snuggling up with a book, and trying to get extra sleep while getting over my own cold. This week’s edition of Katie’s Notebook is packed with digital health news and a sprinkling of fall fun. I can’t help myself— fall is my FAVORITE season. Without further adieu, here are my notes for the week:

Exciting new (FEMALE FOUNDED) digital health companies: Congrats to the 2023 Springboard Enterprises Digital Health Cohort! I’ve got my eyes on FamilyWell, CurieDX, and CubTale.

Speaker Applications Open: The Digital Medicine Conference (Dec 6-8, 2023) opened speaker and sponsorship applications this week. This is an evidence-based conference and we are looking for people who can speak to practical applications of technology in value-based care models | real use of AI in medicine | evidence-backed digital health interventions in cardiology, diabetes, obesity management, Alzheimers, and addiction recovery | and successful enterprises that have moved from pilots to stand alone companies. Reply to this email if you have any questions!

Raising Money?: Halle Tecco’s guide: How Investors Evaluate Digital Health Companies is your new cheat sheet.

The Best Pumpkin Oatmeal Bake: I hosted a breakfast party last week and made a new baked oatmeal recipe that was loved by all! Chocolate chips are an essential addition.

The perfect fall pants: Corduroy is back this year and these pants in “Golden Brandy” are going to help me break the millennial fashion mantra of “jeans and a cute top” by leading with color and texture on my legs. I’m planning to pair them with this shirt for a monochrome look or a chambray shirt.

Next week I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite fall children’s books — stay tuned!
